Italian lessons
We will have Italian lessons together in a magical environment, immersed in nature.

Excursions
We will visit medieval towns and villages in the surroundings of the villa to fully immerse ourselves in the culture of Tuscany.

Oil and wine tasting
We will do tastings of quality oils and wines directly on the estate and in the nearby vineyard.

Pizza night
We will prepare and cook our pizzas together in an authentic wood-fired oven.

Cooking lessons
Mrs. Cristina, a local cook, will cook for us all week. We will also have cooking lessons with her.

We will be able to enjoy exclusive use of the infinity pool, hot tub, sauna and gym on the estate.
Where are we staying?
We will be staying at Villa Hortulanus , a luxury estate in the Tuscan countryside, in the province of Grosseto.
The estate is owned by the Steinberg family who have taken care of the property down to the smallest details and made it a perfect corner of calm and tranquility, immersed in nature.
We will have exclusive use of the entire villa.
The Italian workshop
A journey, a story to live and tell. It is not just a holiday, but an immersive experience in the Italian language and culture. During this week in Tuscany, not only will you discover breathtaking landscapes and authentic flavours, but you will also work on a multimedia travel diary. This project combines writing, images, and sounds to tell your experience in a unique and engaging way.
💡 How does the workshop work?
✔️ Three group lessons: together we will explore writing techniques, useful vocabulary, and creative ways to tell a journey.
✔️ Itinerant and interactive activities: during excursions, tastings and cooking lessons, you will collect notes, images and recordings.
✔️ Group and individual work: we will collaborate to create a collective story, but each participant will also have their own space to express themselves.
✔️ A final project: a multimedia travel diary combining text, photographs and short audio-visual recordings, to be shared with the group and kept as a unique memory.

The schedule

Day 1
Arrival at the villa and welcome dinner
On the first day we meet at Rome airport (Fiumicino) or Termini station and go together to the Villa. It is about a 3 hour journey. Upon arrival, we will have time to settle into our rooms. In the evening, we will have dinner together and toast to the beginning of this beautiful experience!

Day 2
Italian lesson and oil tasting
In the morning, after breakfast, we will have our first Italian lesson together. In the afternoon, instead, we will have the opportunity to do a tasting of local oils. In the evening, a fantastic pizza-night awaits us, cooked in an authentic wood-fired oven!

Day 3
Trip to Montalcino and Pienza
After a nice breakfast together, we leave for our excursion! We will visit two wonderful villages of the Val d'Orcia together: Montalcino (famous for its Brunello wine) and Pienza (whose historic center is a UNESCO heritage site). In Pienza, a nice lunch of typical Tuscan cuisine awaits us!

Day 4
Cooking lesson and Italian lesson
While in the morning we will be busy with our second Italian lesson together, in the afternoon we will have our cooking lesson: with Mrs. Cristina, we will learn how to make homemade pasta, which of course we will eat together for dinner!

Day 5
Vineyard Trip and Wine Tasting
Ready for the vineyard trip? The fifth day is dedicated to wine tasting in a beautiful local vineyard.

Day 6
Italian lesson and end of holiday dinner
We will dedicate the last day to a nice Italian lesson. The afternoon will be free. In the evening there will be a presentation of the week's work followed by a delicious dinner!

Breakfast together and departure
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end 😢
After having breakfast together, we will head to the Rome airport and it will be time to go home.
